Super
Bright - Super White - Super Low Heat!

The
old, familiar incandescent mechanic's work light quickly
became known as the "TROUBLE-LIGHT" because, for
all the good it did, it
was also a cause for a lot of unpleasantness. The bulb would
burn the mechanic if touched, scorch the carpet or seat
in the vehicle, explode if cold water dripped on the bulb,
ignite gasoline if dropped near gas drippings and go
out every time the fixture was bumped or dropped.
With
the development of the compact fluorescent lamps, alternative
light sources for this troublesome work light application
became possible. However, the early fluorescent work lights,
while safer and less troublesome, did not produce as much
light as the mechanics wanted. A few years later, new larger
light wattages were introduced, but these brighter work
lights were much larger than desired, and these new work
lights incorporated heavy magnetic ballast in the handle.
After
a number of years of experimentation and application usage,
the new PATENT PENDING Handyman's work light has
been developed.
These
new HANDYMAN work lights are exactly the same size as the
old incandescent trouble lights, but the lower light wattages
provide more working light than the brightest light bulb
previously allowed by UL.
Light
weight and efficient electronic ballasts power both the
smaller and larger wattage units providing more light, but
use 75 to 85 percent less energy. Special phosphors provide
a super bright and extra white light output, making the
Handyman's work light the best lighting system for working
on your vehicle, or any other work that needs to be illuminated.
The
size of the new Handyman's choice work light is the same
as the old and tested incandescent work lights they replace.
The highly reflective reflector, and the electronic light
transformer, is replaced every time the lamp needs to be
replaced making the Handyman's choice the newest and best
work light available.
The
low heat output of the Handyman's TFL work light system
guarantees that you will never get burned again, nor do
you have to be concerned if you lay the light down on the
car seat or carpet.
In
the old incandescent work lights, every time the lamp was
bumped or dropped, the light bulb filament would break.
In the new Handyman's choice work light, the bulbs do not
have filaments, only electronically activated phosphors.
(Always remember however, glass
is glass and glass can break).
Using
a low heat fluorescent light source allows the Handyman's
choice to meet OSHA requirements for a commercial work light.
With
the lower heat and no filament, dripping ice, cold water,
even gasoline will never explode the lamp or provide an
electrical spark to ignite the gasoline.
Every
Handyman's Choice work light comes with a shock absorbing
and stabilizing rubber washer to do three things:
1.
Absorbs some of the shock when lamp is bumped or dropped
2. Provide greater stability in the lamp socket
3. Stop liquids from ever reaching the electrical power
source in the handle.
Over
the past 10 to 15 years a number of alternative work lights
have been introduced. The Handyman's Choice is the only
lighting system that replaces the old incandescent work
light with a unit that is brighter, more convenient, has
longer life, and is energy efficient all within the same
size of the old incandescent work light.
Although
the new Handyman's work light is more expensive initially,
the longer life, the energy savings, the brighter light,
plus the reduced frustrations quickly make the initial investment
A GREAT INVESTMENT.
